1970’s Seiko Advertisement
This Seiko Bellmatic all stainless steel automatic alarm watch is in awesome condition for its age, and completely original. It works perfectly, as does the alarm feature. The alarm winds manually with the crown at the 3, the automatic rotor winds the movement. The case back dates this watch to April 1972. The midnight blue, almost black gloss dial is pristine, the crystal is scratch free. The alarm trigger bezel moves counter clockwise by way of the main crown. The alarm set on/off knob at the 2 also acts as a quickset date feature (push in and turn lower crown in reverse, in time set position)). To set day turn hands past 1 AM (lower crown) until day changes then back up to 10 PM and again forward to next day. The watch measures 39mm wide. It’s on a new nato strap, pictured. Photos are magnified and show details not seen by naked eye, the case measures 39 mm across (not including crown) x 42 mm lug to lug.
