This is a rare Antique Rolex Oyster with sweep seconds movement in cushion case circa 1930. This was likely a military officer’s or doctor’s watch, sweep seconds were made in much smaller quantity than sub seconds and were for specialised use. This is a very early version of an Oyster case with screw back and screw down crown and reference number 3351f, it is signed inside “Oyster Watch Co” and also has the Rolex “SAR” mark, reputed to mean Société Anonyme Rolex.
The watch in this Ad is similar but has sub seconds rather than sweep seconds.
The 17 Rubies (Jewel) movement is in excellent working condition, the last service date is unknown as it was preformed by the previous owner’s watchmaker. If requested we will refresh the servicing before shipment. Photos are not actual size of watch, the case measures 28 mm across (not including crown) x 36 mm lug to lug and is fit with a lightly used leather bracelet.
