1940’s Watch Advertisement

Stunning Jaeger-LeCoultre Bumper Automatic with beautiful evenly yellow patinaed dial with pink gold hands and indices and blue seconds hand, circa 1950 vintage. The stainless steel screw back case is signed inside and numbered on the outside. The Cal. 476/2 is a “bumper” half-rotor type movement, the predecessor to the full rotor automatic movement and very popular with watch aficionados. We don’t know the service history but movement is super clean and keeps very good time. JLC collaborated with Vacheron Constantin and supplied the cal 476 movement for many of their watches. Photos are magnified and show details not seen by naked eye, the case measures 33.5 mm across (not including crown) x 42 mm lug to lug.
