1940’s Watch Advertisement
Nice Art Deco Wittnauer tank case watch from the early 1940’s, just serviced and ready to ship. The Wittnauer company was purchased by Longines in 1936, this watch was made in the transitional period, the case has only the Wittnauer name inside but the 15 jewel 9K movement has the Wittnauer name and a Longines import mark (LXW). Photos are magnified and show details not seen by naked eye, the case measures 22 mm across (not including crown) x 40 mm lug to lug and is fit as found with a leather bracelet.
