Elgin 14K yellow gold antique transitional ladies watch, the production year of this USA made vintage watch is 1917 according to it’s styling and serial number (20168567). This watch has a 15 jewels manual wind movement, Elgin calibre number 444 and is in excellent working condition. The term “transitional watch” refers to watches made during the time that pocket watches and pendant watches were evolving into wristwatches, this watch looks like a miniature pocket/pendant watch but with the addition of a bracelet. Photos are not actual size of watch, it measures 24 mm across (not including crown) x 35 mm lug to lug. Watch is fit as found with a black cord bracelet with gold filled adjustable clasp.
