This original early nineteen hundreds Ferguson & Page porcelain dial wristwatch circa 1910 has a large crown, fixed to the case rather than the movement, similar to pocket watches of the day that were more popular. Gentleman’s wristband watches were quite uncommon at this time, they only started to gain popularity, for practical reasons, during World War I. The movement is marked Ferguson & Page Saint John N.B. Swiss 16 jewels, cal 13.32 and serial number 2661977. Ferguson & Page is the name of the Saint John, New Brunswick Jeweller that imported the ebauche, finished and cased the movement and retailed the private label watch. This antique timepiece is in excellent working condition, the beautiful dial has some crazing which is not unusual for a porcelain dial. Photos are not actual size of watch, it measures 30 mm across (not including canteen style crown) x 34 mm lug to lug. Watch is fit with a leather bracelet.
