Hamilton referred to this “Wilshire” driver’s watch as the “coral”, not only did it have a coral or pink gold filled case, but also the coral dial. Shortly after this timepiece was produced in 1941 the war ,which had already started in Europe, broke out in the US and watch production pretty much came to a halt. This watch never really took off in pink, the yellow gold version was more popular, Hamilton did not reintroduce them after the war, making them fairly hard to find and a great horological collectable. The 19 Jewel, calibre 982 winding movement has been serviced and is in excellent working condition. Photos are not actual size of watch, it measures 22mm across (not including crown) x 50mm lug to lug. Watch is fit with a new leather bracelet.
