Rare Canadian market oyster series Rolex Royalite dating to late 30’s to early 40’s. Watches in this series such as the ‘big brother’ Oyster Royal were small but this is x-small, made as a man’s watch but also suitable for women. Watch is in excellent condition, Oyster patent crown properly screws down. The dial has been professionally refinished and the case top appears to have been recently plated in 18k gold (case back is stainless steel). The 17 jewels movement on this type of Rolex is typically signed under the dial, the reference number inside the case is 3478 and serial number on the case back is 167857. Measures 28 x 33 mm (not including crown) and is fitted with a new leather bracelet.
