1940’s Vintage RCAF issued Aviators watch with broad arrow and military reference numbers engraved on the caseback. Both the engraving on the back (W-3482/42)and the serial number 31180067 on the movement indicate a production year 1942. Movement is a Waltham Premier, 15 jewels manual wind which is protected by an inner dustcover and an outer screw back. Watch case is base metal, it is in overall good condition with just the slightest bit of corrosion and some light scratches showing on the back. This watch was found in a large collection which has been sitting many years, a good find as these watches are getting harder to find all the time. Watch has been serviced by our watchmaker and is working perfectly. Like many wartime watches this is a slightly smaller that average size, measuring 31mm across (not including crown) x 39mm (lug to lug). The distance between lugs (bracelet width) is 16mm, and watch is fit with an older used but good condition hand
stitched leather strap (if preferred we will change for a new strap).
