This is a very rare, large size, Omega Triple Calendar Moonphase wristwatch which dates to 1947. Day and month (in Portuguese) are displayed in the windows under the Omega name, moon is incorporated with the seconds sub dial and day is indicated by the blue hand that points to the numbers 1 – 31 around the perimeter of the professionally refinished dial. The case is chromium plated metal with snap back and is fully signed on the inside and has the reference #2486-2. (case was originally gold filled but has been plated) Watch is signed on dial, case, movement, winding crown and also on both the leather strap and buckle. The ‘pink’ 17 jewel manual wind movement is a cal 381 and was recently serviced by our watchmaker. The case back has some pitting (see photo). Watch measures 38 x 47 mm (not counting crown) – quite a bit larger than the standard 34mm that most older vintage watches usually measure.
